Our team is entirely run by students of the Politecnico di Torino, who design, manufacture, test and compete with formula style race cars in the Formula SAE competitions.
Our team consists of around 40 students from different faculties that work together "learning by doing", preparing to face the working environment immediately after the graduation.

FORMULA STUDENT ELECTIRC
SQUADRA CORSE TIMELINE
Squadra Corse PoliTo was established in 2004 when some of the more enterprising students enrolled in the first cycle of the study course in Automotive Engineering decided to participate in the competition between universities organized by the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers).
The first prototypes participated in the Formula Student in the combustion category, relying on a tubular steel frame and a Honda CBR 600cc engine.
In 2010, the racing team pioneered the hybrid category and became world champion, repeating itself the following year.
2012 is the year of the "revolution": the racing team is still a pioneer moving to the electric category, immediately obtaining excellent results both in the Italian and international stages.
In 2017, after a few difficult years, the team raises its head and returns to conquer a podium, thanks to the solidity of the know-how on the electric powertrain, which is still carried out today.
The SC19 prototype wins in the electric category on the Italian stage, consolidating its position in the top 30 in the world ranking of the category.
